Dare Yourself

"Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it."-Gandhi

Maturity seems to have chased and caught me at a very young age. I'm only 19? I feel like I'm 28 sometimes! Consequences seem to pop up into my mind right away before any action occurs. Maybe that's what living on your own does to you.

My perception of the world has been altered. I see things very differently now than I used to almost less than a year ago. I know right! That's too soon to actually happen? Well it has, trust me!

The only thought in my mind 24/7 is my career. All I can think about is "What am I going to do next to add fuel to my career? Where do I want to end up? How much longer of school do I need?"

I literally am counting down the days till I can move to New York City. It's the next step I have to take in order to reach my career. I am beyond excited! I'll miss the weather but that's about it. I love change especially if it includes NYC!

I love to add adventure to my life. It makes me stronger and wiser. So, why not?

"Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be."

And I'm Not Such A Sweet Thing

I don't know why, but I am literally obsessed with Joan Jett's music and style. I admire so much for being true to who she was. I know I've already said it, but how many people actually have the courage to do that? She sticks to her beliefs and doesn't care if she comes off too strong on people. I also admire her because she did what she loved and didn't care about the outcomes of it. She didn't care if she made money or not. All she wanted was to become a legend and she definitely is!

I actually just found out I could have gone to the Hollywood Park to see her by just texting some code and would have been able to get in for only $7. I don't think heartbreak can even begin to define my anguish. Oh well, I am just going to have to wait till August when she plays in Orange County. :)

"Been There, Done That, Messed Around"

La RouxI can't stop listening to Bullet Proof by La Roux! So Good! La Roux is a french group, of course. No one can make electronic music that cool except for Europeans.Eleanor Jackson is the lead singer and not only is her music cool but so is her style. She's not afraid of any print, shape, or mix. She's been compared to Lady Gaga but, I tend to disagree. She's not that crazy with her wardrobe. Eleanor just isn't scared to incorporate different prints which make her look very different. Her style definitely matches her electronic music.

"This time baby I'll be bullet proof"

Perfection Can Exist

There's no one else that has talent, style, and good looks like Robert Pattinson. He can not only act but sing as well. His singing will melt your heart! How can you beat that? Besides his talent and good looks, he knows how to crack a smile on your face.

Eclipse is set to release on June 30th. Anyone else excited as I am?? It's rare to find a person who isn't. My best friend and I have our tent ready to camp out on the street for the red carpet premiere. We have to see our Rob one more time and actually get his autograph this time!

Well enjoy!

Makes Me Happy

I love him no matter what!! :)

Old Is Better Than New

"I do know the effect that music still has on me - I'm completely vulnerable to it. I'm seduced by it."- Debbie Harry

Don't Forget To Remember Me

Do you ever get butterflies listening to an old song, smell, or sight because of the memories it brings? We all get nostalgia once in a while. I myself have a love/hate relationship with it. I love thinking about all the great times I had but I hate the fact that they won't ever happen again. Will I always miss the past for the rest of my life?

I miss all the little things from back home. The thunderstorms that put me gently to sleep, bike rides, running in sprinklers with my best friends, going to the haunted house, scavenger hunts, carnival rides, water balloon fights at the zoo, and driving around because there's never anything to do.

The only question I ask myself; Can it ever be the same after a long period of time?

Is it true that you will always be seventeen in your hometown? ...I hope so.

It's not as easy to go home by just clicking my heels three times.

"Our Love is a Flame Burning Within"

"Friends, Lovers, or Nothing"

If you make a quick recap of your past you begin to realize that every good and bad thing has led you to where you are today. Today I give thanks to God for all my lost friends or boys that I cried over. If I had not let some of them slip away I would not be where I am today. I don't just thank God for my lost friendships but for the great ones that have been with me through the thick and the thin. Although, sometimes I wonder does one step, second, minute, or place change your destiny? As Carrie Bradshaw said "Can you make a mistake and miss your fate?"

I can't help but wonder how will I meet the person I will spend the rest of my life with? On a plane? Tripping outside a coffee shop? What if I don't take a moment to introduce myself to someone who was the one? How many times have we passed up the opportunity for love?

The list of questions could go on. I am grateful for the loves that I will have with me the rest of my life, my best friends. I'm glad I met them either growing up with them, sitting by them in class, or ended up in a group together only to find out we were basically the same person. I love you Valerie, Christine, and Chelsea.

We can only wait and hope for the best. Hope that when the moment comes we know.

Mix it up!

Spring is here so that means new trends!
This spring it is all about Denim! You can fill your closet up with denim dresses, shirts, jeans, and many vintage levi shorts. You can mix them anyway you want. You can even, dare I say it wear denim with denim! :)

Another trend is the utility jacket. Its the next big trend for the Spring of 2010. You can rock it with a pair of shorts and a T-shirt or even with a frilly dress. Here are some examples.

Vintage Chic

Alexa Chung is a genius when it comes to style. I don't believe there is one outfit that I don't approve. Most of her closet is made up from vintage and unique items. She's number two on my list of best dressed. What's my number one? Well Carrie Bradshaw of course!

Who is she?
Alexa is from the UK and started her own talk show on MTV called "It's on with Alexa Chung." She had many big stars on her show such as John Mayer, Glee, and Daniel Radcliffe. Her show ended in December of 2009 and she is pursuing her love of fashion. Alexa recently designed her own line for Madewell.

"Fashions Fade, Style is Eternal"-YSL

Clothing is the way someone can quietly say to others either who they are or where they belong. One outfit can make the biggest impression. I see clothing as the french see it, your own stye. It does not immediately place you with a group of people but it lets everyone know your personality without having to speak. The french don't revolve their lives around just one designer or store. They all have a different mix of designers and brands that makes them who they are. Everyone we know shops at one store or stays loyal to one brand because it allows them to fit into a group formed by society. To me style is something that comes naturally. It's your personality. I dare to stand out and be myself everyday. Since I can't draw or paint, my creativity shows in my outfits. Every morning I have a blank canvas that I get to make with it what I want.

Joan Jett
She dressed by her personality and not what society thought was right. She followed her heart and did not let one single person get in her way. Her confidence, determination, and dreams got her to form the first all girls rock band, The Runaways. This is what makes Joan one of my biggest role models and she has really inspired my wardrobe.
